Archipelago Structure
Little Incrementisle sends you through a chain of wild islands. Each landing is a self-contained colony expedition with unique modifiers and a featured event. You never return to previous islands — progress is forward through the archipelago toward THE piece.
Island selection is the primary difficulty dial. The game lets you choose among offered islands with visible modifiers. Skilled routing beats brute-force optimization on any single landing.
Island Selection Screen
After harbor completion, the selection screen previews modifiers, event types, and difficulty hints. Read every line before accepting. A production penalty combined with pirate waters is a expert-tier combo, not a first-run choice.
Difficulty Curve
Islands one through three teach food, wood, housing, and harbor systems. Island four and beyond introduce stacked modifiers and tighter event timers per Steam reviews. Plan prestige talents before entering the mid-game spike.
Routing Principles
Alternate recovery islands with challenge islands. Never chain two disaster-prone lands without a food-bonus island between them. Exploration talents widen acceptable routes by reducing the punishment for bold picks.
