Little Incrementisle Buildings Guide
Little Incrementisle buildings guide: construction order, housing, production structures, harbor buildings, and upgrade priorities per island.

Building Philosophy
Buildings translate villager labor into colony capacity. Every island has limited time before events and sailing requirements pressure your stockpile. The correct order is: sustain villagers, increase capacity, accelerate production, then satisfy harbor demands.
Overbuilding is a common trap. Each structure costs maintenance in the form of villager attention and resources. Build what the island modifier rewards and skip marginal structures that do not advance sailing.
Housing and Capacity
Housing increases maximum villager count. Without housing upgrades, recruitment stalls even with full food stores. Build housing in steps matched to food income — each new house is a promise to feed another colonist.
Production Structures
Gathering posts, workshops, and specialty processors boost resource rates. Upgrade gathering posts before advanced workshops on most islands. Production-bonus modifiers flip this rule — rush workshops when costs are discounted.
Storage Buildings
Storage prevents waste during production spikes and buffers winter. Build food storage before wood storage on seasonal islands. On pirate islands, protect storage with nearby defense structures.
Harbor Complex
Harbor buildings gate sailing. Identify required pieces in the harbor panel and build them only after food stability. Splitting harbor construction across multiple days prevents resource bankruptcy.
- Housing when food supports growth.
- Gathering upgrades for baseline income.
- Storage before seasonal events.
- Defense on pirate or raid islands.
- Harbor pieces when surplus is stable.
Repair and Recovery
Earthquakes and floods damage buildings. Keep a repair reserve of wood and stone. After disasters, repair production structures before cosmetic or optional upgrades.
